Americans for the Arts is the nation's leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. With more than
50 years of service, it is dedicated to representing and serving local communities and creating opportunities for every American to participate in and appreciate all forms of the arts.
Hi all,
I hope this email finds you well after a long weekend. I am so excited to write to you following up from our time together in Washington, D.C. in December. Sincere apologies for the length of time it has been.
All action items are bolded.
First, Americans for the Arts is pleased to offer you the contract as a facilitator within the Arts Education Speakers’ Bureau. Thank you for your help refining the elements of the master contract that we will use for years to come. I will
be sending it to you in an individual email shortly. Please be sure to review, initial each page, sign the final page, and return it to me
as soon as possible.
Second,
please check out this
Google Drive Folder, which we will utilize for all materials to be distributed for the Speakers Bureau. You may also accept the invitation sent under separate cover from Google.
Third, as we finalize all of the paperwork,
please review the following documents and provide any feedback you would like by
February 28, 2018 COB. The documents you may wish to review are:
Fourth, please begin to think of a place where you can preview your new skills. Americans for the Arts can support one training for you to do in a comfortable setting for you to practice: a class at your university, a gathering of your
grantees, your home community PD day, etc. Please let me know by March 1 where you intend to do this so we can set it up appropriately.
Fifth, as requested during our meeting in December, we have added you all to a private listserv to help us all stay in constant contact. This will be the primary means of communication for all updates and AFTA communications, quarterly
reporting form requests, and for the social interaction between you all with tips and requests from the field. Because this is a private list, you have been manually added – if you’d like to manage your subscription or would prefer to receive a daily digest,
visit
AFTA-SimpleLists website and select “Click here to view existing list membership details” to make changes. You can send emails to the group by sending your message to
arts_ed_speakers_bureau@americansforthearts.simplelists.com. You can access the archive of our conversations
here.
Sixth, thank you for your headshots and bios. We will be adding these to the website upon execution of your contract. Once the page is live, I will be sending to you for your review.
Lastly, I thank you with immense gratitude with your flexibility and willingness to collaborate over the past few months. Your participation and feedback in December was tremendous! We are also receiving tons of requests for trainings throughout
the rest of the year – so get excited!
I had the pleasure of delivering four of them in January and February and it was great. (I am also very excited about the evaluation which has already begin). This program promises to be a great addition to the cadre of offerings from Americans
for the Arts and I am so pleased you are a part of it.
My best,
Jeff
