REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Support for Local CYD Networks

The Creative Youth Development (CYD) National Partnership seeks to support three youth-centered, local CYD peer learning networks with professional development and technical assistance.

Applications are due Thursday, January 30th at 11:59pm PST.

Notifications of acceptance will be sent by February 7th.

Local peer learning networks are an effective way for practitioners and other creative youth development stakeholders to connect, learn, support each other, and collectively advance CYD. At their best, these networks consist of youth and adults working and making decisions alongside each other with an equitable leadership relationship.

Proposals will be accepted from both emerging networks (those that are in the beginning process) and sustaining networks (those that are established and active). This is a project of the Creative Youth Development National Partnership, administered by the National Guild for Community Arts Education.

Networks must:

  • Demonstrate alignment with the core values of CYD—youth voice, racial equity, and collective action.

  • Designate one adult representative from the intermediary organization and one youth (age 13-20) from the network to participate in all project activities.

This project is supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts. Read the press release announcing the Partnership's grant. To find out more about how National Endowment for the Arts grants impact individuals and communities, visit www.arts.gov.
