OPPORTUNITIES FROM AMERICANS FOR THE ARTS

Early Childhood Education has been the focus of significant federal, state
and local investment in recent years; the arts education community must be
well versed in this work. As an arts education supporter, connect
with experts in this field, learn the language
of the work, and identify new ideas to inform your path forward. The
#ArtsEdChat on Early Childhood Education provides a forum for introductory
learning about this growing trend.

Each year, we look for the best businesses in America partnering with the
arts for our BCA 10 Awards. And we need your help! Submit nominations for
next year's BCA 10 honorees before January 19, 2018. All honorees will be
celebrated at the BCA 10 gala in New
York City in October 2, 2018.

Deadline: February 9, 2018
VANS Custom Culture Grants are available to public high schools (including
charter schools) serving students in grades 9-12 or community based
nonprofit organizations/governmental agencies serving as a fiscal agent for
arts programming at a qualifying school.
The grants are intended to encourage the inclusion of the arts as an
integral component of an excellent education, and to support activities
that are consistent with local and national learning standards for arts
education. Ten (10) schools across the country
will each receive a $2,000 grant to support their work in providing
high-quality dance, media arts, music, theatre and/or visual arts
instruction for students.

OPPORTUNITIES FROM THE FIELD
March 11, 2018
The Arts Education Partnership, with generous support from Americans for
the Arts and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, will host
the 2018 AEP State Policy Symposium on March 10 in Washington, D.C. Stay
tuned for registration information and
details about this day-long event that convenes arts education
stakeholders from across the country to explore key education policy issues
that impact arts in education.
