Dear Friends,

I wanted to take a moment to remind you of three upcoming webinars we have looking at the new reports we just released, the 2018 Profile of Local Arts Agencies and 2018 Local Arts Agency Salaries. In the first webinar, I will be joined by Randy Cohen, VP of Research and Policy as we look at some of the highlighted findings from these studies and what they mean in terms of field implications. For the second webinar, Graciela Kahn, Research Manager will debut our brand new digital tool, the Local Arts Agency Dashboard. In the third webinar, Clay Lord, VP of Local Arts Advancement will talk specifically about the Equitable Investment findings from the Profile. See below for more info.

If you aren’t able to tune-in live, register anyway! All of these webinars will be recorded and available for replay about 24-hours after they are live.

Local Arts Agency Field Surveys

Monday, March 25 @ 3:00PM EDT

What is the current state of the local arts agency field? This webinar will discuss the findings of two new research reports: the 2018 Local Arts Agency Profile and the 2018 Local Arts Agency Salary and Compensation report. These statistical reports provide detailed information on the current health and condition of the local arts agency field. Join us as Randy Cohen, Vice President of Policy and Research at Americans for the Arts discusses the overall findings of the new reports; and Ruby Lopez Harper discusses what the findings mean for the local arts agency field.

Using the NEW Local Arts Agency Dashboard

Thursday, March 28 @ 3:00PM EDT

The LAA Profile Dashboard is an interactive tool that visualizes the Profile data and indicates to the user where any LAA or group of LAAs is/are situated within the spectrum of responses from the field. The Dashboard allows users to compare themselves in a customized view with other LAAs based on specific characteristics like budget, service area population, legal status, and others. Join us for a webinar with Graciela Kahn, Research Manager at Americans for the Arts, as we take a look at the new LAA Profile Dashboard and find out how this great new tools can help with your work.

Reviewing the State of Equitable Investment Policies and Practices in the Local Arts Field

Tuesday, April 9 @ 3:00PM EDT

LAAs in the US invest nearly $3 billion into their local arts ecosystems annually. With this much investment, it’s important that resource distribution is done equitably. In this webinar, we’ll walk through the Equitable Investment working group’s goals and recommendations for field action, discussing the findings from the Local Arts Agency Profile’s 2018 Equitable Investment Module, and talk about future work Americans for the Arts and others are investing in to begin turning research and discussion into action.

Best,

Ruby
