Hello Ruby,
Milagro Theatre is a Latino Cultural Center in Southeast Portland, Oregon, where we host a variety of groups across the spectrum, and our Latino teaching artists lead bilingual workshops focused on DEI, social injustice and sexual health. We also just developed a Trauma Informed Workshop that we are rolling out this month.
We are working to grow our board, which is very representative of the community we serve.
Sinceramente,
Dañel Malán, Artistic Director, Teatro Milagro

Subject: [Americans for the Arts] QUESTION: Local equity consultants
Hi Local Arts Network –
I’m working on compiling a list of local folks doing equity work around the country.
Are you working with someone to audit your programs?
Are you working with someone to facilitate community discussions around equity issues?
Are you working with someone to examine internal or operational structures in your organization?
Are you working with someone on hiring diverse staff or recruiting diverse board members?
If you answered yes, please send me their name, area of engagement and contact information.
Best regards,
Ruby
