Grant Program Guidelines: FY2021

New grant program guidelines are now available online in the Grants for Arts Projects (GAP, formerly Art Works) and Challenge America categories, with the first GAP deadline on February 13, 2020. Please note that guidelines for the Our Town program will be available in May 2020. Learn more.

 

Five Things You Can Do Now to Get Ready to Apply for Arts Endowment Funding in 2020

The National Endowment for the Arts’ FY2021 funding guidelines are posted online. So, now what? There is a lot of useful information on our website, all designed to enable you to submit the most competitive application possible. We encourage you to spend some time, in advance of the deadlines, clicking through our site to explore the available resources. And to help with that, we’ve pulled out a sampling of five things you can resolve to do now, to help you prepare to submit an application in 2020. (see attached PDF) 

 

Mayors’ Institute on City Design: Call for 2020 Regional Hosts

Deadline: Jan. 21, 2020, 4pm ET

Mayors’ Institute on City Design (MICD) has issued the 2020 Regional Session RFQ, a competitive application process to host a regional MICD session. Three institutions will be selected to receive up to $50,000 in funding as hosts. MICD convenes mayors and interdisciplinary design professionals to address urban design challenges. Since 1986, over 1,100 mayors have participated in MICD.  Learn more.

 

NEA Big Read Grant Opportunity

Deadline: January 29, 2020

NEA Big Read, a National Endowment for the Arts initiative in partnership with Arts Midwest, supports community reading programs across the country, each designed around a single NEA Big Read book. In total, 32 books will be available for NEA Big Read projects taking place between September 2020 and June 2021; the full list of titles is available in the guidelines on Art Midwest’s website, along with full details on eligibility, how to apply, and application advice.
