Virtual Office Hours with Nina:  Drop In to Ask Your CARES Act Questions and Share Tips

TODAY at 3:00 pm EST, please join Nina Ozlu Tunceli, Americans for the Arts Chief Counsel of Government & Public Affairs and the Arts Action Fund Executive Director, to ask your timely questions on how to navigate through CARES Act opportunities and applications. Office Hours will be set up as a Q&A period so she can answer as many questions as possible. Today's call will be set up as a pilot with a Zoom room capacity of 100 people to drop in and out of to ask questions. Thereafter, we plan to launch daily "Virtual Office Hours with Nina." We know the CARES Act offers significant funding opportunities for arts groups and professional artists affected economically by the Coronavirus pandemic, but we also know that it's a complex web of regulations and fast deadlines. Nina will help you navigate through this as well as take any questions that can't be answered right away so she can do the research to find out within 24 hours. Please also be sure to download Nina's CARES Act Table of Funding Opportunities for the Arts and Artists.

How the CARES Stimulus Expansion Act (and other resources) can help artists, sole proprietors, cultural anchors, and creative entrepreneurs stay afloat during the economic crisis. A FREE webinar with Claire Van Holland (the CV Ledger, Inc.) & Jill James (SiF Industries).

On Thursday, March 26, more than 130 landmark and historic buildings all over the United Kingdom were lit blue as a salute to healthcare workers battling the COVID-19 global crisis. Now, the #LightItBlue campaign is crossing the pond and will appear in cities across the United States on Thursday, April 9, at 8:00 p.m. local time, creating a national show of support and gratitude to those essential workers caring for us on the front lines and creating a universal symbol of solidarity and hope.

In a follow up to her blogpost, “Empathetic Audience Engagement During The Apocalypse,” AASLH invites you to join independent consultant and master educator Andrea Jones (Peak Experience Lab) for a thoughtful conversation about grieving a loss of normalcy during the current pandemic while also making progress towards forging new identities in our field.

In this webinar, performance coach, management consultant, financial advisor and therapist Dana Fonteneau will lead a conversation on building personal resilience. In the COVID-19 crisis, arts organizations, artists and arts workers are facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles and a daunting future. How do we adapt and change our mindset to respond to the effects of the pandemic? How do we mentally prepare to work and lead effectively in the months ahead? And most importantly, how do we take care of ourselves? This webinar will plant seeds for cultivating emotional resilience and provide guidance on how to thrive in times of uncertainty.
