Hello and Felicidades!
We’ve been hard at work preparing for Convention and organizing some amazing learning experiences for you.
I wanted to bring to your attention a few mornings meetings that may of interest to you and/or your colleagues. Mark your calendars and RSVP as noted at the end of this email.
Friday, June 15, 8:30a-11:00a
County Arts Network Annual Meeting
Join your colleagues from County Arts Agencies for this annual gathering. We will share programming updates and plan future opportunities; hear from Linda Langston with the National
Association of County Organizations about their new Creative Counties Initiative; and get an update from Americans for the Arts Staff. A great time to meet your peers before heading in to Convention.
Rural Arts Network Kickoff Meeting
Based on feedback and rising interest in strengthening the peer-to-peer network and making space for the community of practice, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new
network, Rural Arts. We invite staff and volunteers that work in a rural based arts and culture organization or an organization that serves or supports a rural based community. We will invite your participation and feedback and share our general plans for
the coming year.
Mid-career Network Kickoff Meeting
As we continue to expand our programming and respond to changes and needs of the field, we will be adding a Mid-career Network. Open to professionals with more than 5-years of
experience in the arts and culture field. Are you looking for ways to stay energized and engaged? Finding yourself stuck in the rut? Interested in moving up the ladder? Or not? Then this peer network will be just for you. Join us to share your insights and
hear from staff about plans for the coming year.
Supporting Artists Learning Group
With support from the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation, we recently completed a pilot for a digital classroom that focuses on the role of arts administrators in local arts agencies
that support individual artists. We will share insights and learnings from the recent pilot, learn more about the Artists Thrive initiative from Heather Pontonio, Art Program Director with the Emily Hall Tremaine Foundation and participate in a short workshop
presentation.
To
RSVP, send an email with which meeting you would like to attend to Ruby Lopez Harper (rharper@artsusa.org) by 5:00p June 1.
