This national award recognizes businesses of all sizes for their exceptional involvement with the arts that enriches the workplace, education, and the community. These companies set the standard for excellence and serve as role models for
others to follow. Past honorees include local coffee shops and small architecture firms to large corporations like Microsoft and Warby Parker.
In addition, the Leadership award, which recognizes an individual for their extraordinary vision, leadership, and commitment to supporting the arts and for encouraging other businesses to follow their lead. Past honorees of the Leadership
Award include Chandrika Tandon, Raymond McGuire, and Jorge Perez. The David Rockefeller Award honors a company and arts organization (or artist) for an exceptional project, program, or initiative that represents a true alliance, collaboration, or mutually
beneficial exchange. Thanks to the David Rockefeller Fund, the arts organization/artist that wins will receive $2,500 in recognition for their work. Past honorees include Uniqlo + MoMA, Square + Cheyenne River Youth Project, and Gensler + Access Gallery.
In order to celebrate businesses that have continued or evolved their support of the arts in innovative ways in the face of the pandemic, and to recognize companies whose racial equity values align with the our organizations’ priorities,
we offer forward our
Statement on Cultural Equity as a guide.
These exceptional companies and leaders will be celebrated at a virtual Gala in October 2021 and throughout the year.
These are certainly difficult times, but we believe that the arts can heal and empower. We are grateful for all you do for the arts in your communities and hope that this awards program can showcase that and help in your efforts to leverage
and demonstrate the power of the arts.
