Hello Janice, Ebony Isis Booth and I launched Burque Noir a multi-media showcase in Albuquerque for visual and performing artists who are African American in 2016. See our facebook page for more information on our events and artists. Burque Noir travels from venue to venue across our city in order to provide our artists with multiple platforms, venues and audiences. Ebony and I are working to extend Burque Noir to the city of Santa Fe and to make connections with similar collaborations across the country.

Ebony just released a book of poetry called Grinning and Bare and, as it happens, she will celebrate a book release and give a multi-media performance of her own in Denver on Friday, June 15th so if you're in town for the conference, don't miss it! (Info below)
