Subject: Concrete sculptures?

We have a very large concrete whale sculpture we are looking into refurbishing.

Has anyone used concrete that might have another material mixed into it to make it more durable for a sculpture? Or are there other materials that can be molded and applied in a similar way as concrete that are more durable?
