The Columbus Art Commission needs background information to help us move forward on a public art master plan. The plan could possibly involve 8 neighborhoods and the downtown core of the city. Columbus has a 2017 population of 879,170, making it the 15th largest city in the United States.  We are a geographically large city at approximately 223.1 sq. miles, comprising 28 area commissions and major civic associations – many comprising multiple neighborhoods.

What can we expect to spend? How much time could the consultants take to complete a plan? Ideally, we would like a strong outreach and social media component.

For those of you with a master plan, how closely do you follow yours? Has it been helpful in guiding your program administration and funding?

Your help is much appreciated. Feel free to contact either of us directly or through the network. Thanks!
