The first deadline for FY2020 is in February 2019, for the Art Works program. Information on the Art Works Local Arts Agencies program is available below.

Art Works

First FY2020 Deadline: February 14, 2019 (for projects beginning no earlier than Jan. 1, 2020)

Second FY2020 Deadline: July 11, 2019 (for projects beginning no earlier than June 1, 2020)

Art Works is the National Endowment for the Arts’ principal grants program. Through project-based funding, we support public engagement with, and access to, various forms of excellent art across the nation, the creation of art that meets the highest standards of excellence, learning in the arts at all stages of life, and the integration of the arts into the fabric of community life. Projects may be large or small, existing or new, and may take place in any part of the nation’s 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories. Matching grants generally will range from $10,000 to $100,000. For local arts agencies, all project types—including programming, services to the field, and subgranting—are accepted at both deadlines. Read more.
