In Missouri we have an organization Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts, and if you were local I would suggest scheduling some time with a consultant there, but they may have resources for you. Visit their website https://vlaa.org/ and contact Sue Greenberg at (314) 863-6930 or vlaa@stlrac.org

Perhaps she can point you in the right direction.

Subject: Non-profit board of directors' insurance

Does anyone have experience with non-profit board of directors’ insurance?

I have been asked to serve on the board of a new sculpture park in Texas. They have liability insurance for the non-profit, but not Directors’ and Officers’ liability insurance. I was told that this was important, but in Googling the topic, it is not clear.

Anyone know anything about this, and how much liability it should cover?

Thanks in advance!
