Building on our recently announced artist residency at Washington State DOT, we're thrilled to announce that Smart Growth America/Transportation for America, in partnership with ArtPlace, just launched the country's second artist residency at a state agency. The call for artists to serve as Minnesota DOT's first artist-in-residence is now live.
Please share the call with your networks and anyone you think might be interested in applying, and feel free to reach out with questions. Please note that this opportunity is only open to Minnesota-based artists.
Best,
Sophie

Breaking: Minnesota Launches the Second statewide Artist residency programThe call for artists for MNDOT's program is now openWashington won't be the only state embarking on this unique endeavor. We are also excited to announce that the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be bringing an artist on board to creatively meet the agency’s goals of promoting economic vitality, improving safety, supporting multimodal transportation systems and creating healthier communities. This "Community Vitality Fellow," as they are calling it, will spend a year embedded within MnDOT to help bring creativity to bear on the agency's goals, and is part of the same artist-in-residence program created by Smart Growth America and ArtPlace America. Please share this announcement with any Minnesota-based artists who would be interested in the opportunity. We'll also be having a short informational webinar on April 17th at 3 p.m. EST to discuss the program and answer any questions from those interested in applying. |
