Hi Sherri (and PAN Pals)!

I just looked into this in the fall as part a graduate Applied Learning Lab course. Teams made up of half business students along with planners, architects, and students in my arts program consulted for the downtown Tempe business improvement district. Our team researched and recommended unique signage. We also spoke to Phoenix-based environmental graphics and signage firm Thinking Caps Design, who are great.

A few price points we found:

Cleveland: $40,000 each, plus design costs

Beale Street: $144,000 approximate cost for two arches

Winnipeg: $120,000

Toronto: $100,000 initially, up to $400,000 rebuild

Brisbane: $300,000 for permanent version

Hamilton, Canada: $300,000

The locations above should link to sources. Obviously, pricing will vary widely depending on scale, materials, lighting, pedestrian traffic, intended longevity, environmental conditions, etc.

I can directly send you more info if you'd like. Let me know.

Best,
