Hi PAN Listserv,

This past weekend Americans for the Arts Public Art Network participated in International Sculpture Day , an annual celebration event to further the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society. As part of the event, we launched our updated Public Art Topic Page, which provides basic information about public art and resources to learn more.

AFTA’s topic pages provide a 101-level overview of topics relevant to local arts agencies across the U.S. Designed for people who are curious about public art or brand new to the field, the Public Art Topic Page is a one-stop shop for learning the basics of public art. It includes an overview of what public art is, why it is important to communities and how it is developed and created. The page highlights a public art case study, provides links to the latest news items and blog posts, and encourages general learning about public art through media links and exploration of the PAN Year in Review.

Check it out at www.americansforthearts.org/publicart and share among your community!
