Hi Francine,

If you commissioned a poem that will be integrated into the artwork, you will likely need more than just an agreement regarding the copyright (and from your request it is not clear what you want the agreement to effect).

You may need a licensing agreement or a work for hire agreement depending on the circumstances.  You may also need to consider the relationship of the poem to the public art piece (maybe a collaboration agreement or some other acknowledgement from the other artist that the poem will be somehow associated with the artwork?).

Let me know if I can be of assistance in establishing exactly what it is you need.

Best,
Sarah

Hello all!

Long time follower, first time poster.

Does anyone have a simple copyright agreement in a word doc to share? I commissioned a poem for part of a public art piece and I need one.

Please and thank you.

Francine
