Thanks, Nick. I just reached out to them, but they said they can't offer coverage for repairs. This is the issue I'm running into, no one offers a policy to cover the repair work, only the initial installation. I'm not able to attend the summit next week, but if you could ask about this issue, it would be much appreciated!

Hi Jarica,

CODAworx offers an Art Installation Insurance Program provided by our partner SSEI that is intended to provide short term general liability coverage for artists. Most artists are taking this coverage to cover them during the period of installation, since many times their studio coverage doesn't adequately cover them when they are on-site. Depending on a few different variables the program should be able to provide coverage for the artist for an on-site repair project too. You or the artist can apply for a free quote on the coverage here on our website: https://www.codaworx.com/insurance

I will also be doing an in-depth Q&A with the CEO of SSEI Insurance at our CODAsummit conference next week in El Paso, Texas. Anyone planning to attend can send me questions in advance and I'll make sure they are answered!

Best,

Nick Anderson

I am working with an artist to perform repairs on an artwork created a decade ago. The artist is no longer working as a sculptor, therefore not carrying liability insurance. I am trying to locate a policy that can cover him to perform the two-day repair. Do you have any suggestions or advice for a short-term policy for this kind of coverage? Have you run into any situations like this?
