Hey Michelle,
Just to piggy back on Julia’s advice (which I completely agree with), keep in mind that once the artwork is returned to the artist, it will likely need cleaning and may need some repairs. Please be mindful of that when you ask to borrow
a work so that the artist has adequate funds to make any necessary repairs as well as receive a stipend. If we ask and artist to come speak and make a public presentation, we pay a stipend for that as well.
Paying stipends to selection committee members seems to vary program to program. Think about how much time you are asking of them, if they are expected to do a lot of preparation or review before the panel, and how far are they traveling
to get there?
Good luck!
Best,
Elise

Subject: standard rates for artist loan fees and public engagement fees
CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Be cautious of opening attachments and clicking on links.
Hello all,
I am seeking current standard monthy or annual rates for the loan of sculptures. I am also seeking standard fees for public engagement for the artist. I live in Wyoming and guess that the
standard rate may be affected by the work being done in the Rocky Mountain region.
Additionally, what is the current perspective on paying a stipend to selection committee members for a rotating art program?
Thanks for any input you may have.
Sincerely,
Michelle
