St. John’s Hospital Foundation seeks five custom, site-specific artworks for Sage Living; a new residential senior care community located in Jackson, Wyoming.
Application Deadline: January 24th, 2020, or
until the call fills to capacity, only the first 250 applications will be
accepted.
ELIGIBILITY: Artists living in Wyoming, Utah, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado are invited to apply.
BUDGET: Finalists will receive a $500 concept development stipend. Selected artists will receive a $14,000 commission fee.
DESCRIPTION: The
artworks will be displayed on walls in primary entrance and reception areas in Sage
Living. Artwork should be suitable for people with a variety of cognitive
abilities and contribute to a stimulating and imaginative atmosphere that
supports creative engagement between residents, staff, and visitors. Artwork
will support wayfinding and contribute to the identity of each wing to provide
residents with a sense of familiarity. Artists should be sensitive to patients' perception and the artwork should contain recognizable subject matter, and display a sensitive use of color, patterns, and materials.
INSTALLATION DATE: artist selection will take place by March of 2020,
installation is scheduled for the summer/fall of 2021.
