Hello PAN:
The City of Columbia, Missouri has new public art opportunities:
COLUMBIA REGIONAL AIRPORT - NEW TERMINAL
ABOUT: The City of Columbia, Missouri invites artists to apply for a public art project at the new airport terminal. The City seeks an artist or artist team to create new, site-specific, original, public artwork(s) for the interior of the new airport terminal. Works in a variety of durable media and forms will be considered. The project is a component of Columbia’s Percent for Art Program, established in 1997, and is being implemented by the city’s Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA). At this point, artists should submit qualifications only, not a design proposal. Once an artist is selected, the artist will propose work for the site.
There are two concurrent RFQs for this project. One is open to artists residing in the United States and the other is open to artists residing in Mid-Missouri.
BUDGET: The budgets for the two public art project at the Columbia Regional Airport project have been established at $135,500 (National Call) and $15,050 (Regional Call). These amounts must include all artist fees, materials, fabrication, shipping, installation, etc. for the corresponding projects.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: January 31, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. (CST)
