Colleagues--has anyone successfully written grants to major funders for the conservation or restoration of a mural from the 1970s? We have an important (to us) one from 1973 that is now over 50 years old and therefore can be classified as "historic," and wondering if there were any strategies we can pursue to make the restoration happen through historic preservation grants. We've already lined up a donor for half the required funds, if that matters.
