Hi Sybille,

I manage the public art program in Kent, WA and am currently helping our Public Works Department on a new reservoir project. They have interest in painting a mural on the tower – rather than the typical blue or green to blend in – in an effort to assuage controversy over the location of the project in the adjacent neighborhoods. I’d love the basic stats/info on your project…

-What was the budget?

-How did you select the artist? (Invitational Call, Open Call, Direct Selection?)

-Did the public have involvement and/or input?

-Any lessons learned or cautionary tales specific to a water tower project?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Ronda
