Happy Valentine’s Day PAN Pals!

Our small, but mighty public art program is growing! I’m excited to share this full time, full benefits job opening with you.

We are hiring a project manager that will focus on community-based public art projects in Lancaster City’s residentially dense neighborhoods. The PACE Manager is responsible for managing Public Art Community Engagement (PACE projects. PACE pairs artists with neighbors to develop art-based community development projects in neighborhoods. They will work with community members and emerging artists to cultivate projects from beginning to end. They have skill sets and knowledge in both public art and community service.

Thinking that Lancaster is just Amish folks and country-bumpkins? Think again! Lancaster Public Art is an award-winning public art program, uniquely situated in a small municipality led by an arts-progressive mayor. Here are some stats for you: Recognized by the BBC as the “Refugee Capital of the Nation” and with nearly half our population identifying as Latino/x, Lancaster is an extremely diverse and vibrant city, bubbling with arts and culture. We are a generous place too, we have more community benefit organizations in our 7 square mile city than the state of Ohio. We are on the Amtrak line which reaches NYC in three hours and Philadelphia in one and a half. Plus Baltimore and DC are within a two-hour drive!
