Hi, Nicole,

I know you have talked with some of the staff here at LAND recently about various topics but don’t know if it has come up that we have been managing Cleveland’s percent-for-art program since its inception in 2003. We are in the initial stage of phasing out our participation, because the city has begun doing a lot of the work in-house. There didn’t use to be much support for the program in city hall, but that has changed considerably, especially with the city’s hiring of a full-time public art coordinator (Tarra Petras) a few years back.

Marc Folk at the Toledo Arts Commission is also someone you should talk with. He has been helpful to us over the years.

I would be the best LAND person for you to talk with about this topic.

Vince

Hello All,

I am interested in exploring business models for nonprofits or LLCs that have established formal partnerships to manage a city's percent for arts or plan for public art programs.

All recommendations or resources are appreciated.

Many thanks,

Nicole
