I can think of a few projects owned/operated by nonprofits on national park land that may be relevant to you. Take a look at the Commons area installations at Headlands Center for the Arts, which is in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. In particular, they have an outdoor installation “Welcome Terrace East and West” by Ball-Nogues Studio. Just across the water, there are Andy Goldsworthy’s projects at the Presidio through a relationship between FOR-SITE Foundation and Presidio Trust.

·         Located in the U.S. 

·         Completed in the past ten years

·         Is permanent

·         Is site-specific and architectural in nature (requiring construction and physical alteration of the landscape)

·         Is privately owned/operated, AND...

·         Is presented on public grounds (like parks)
