The Utah Public Art Program of the Division of Arts and Museums, in association with the Division of Facilities and Construction Management, has published the calls for letters of interest and qualifications from artists or artist teams interested in the WSU and DSU projects.
Budget: $410,000 - Deadline: April 10, 2020
The Weber State University Noorda Engineering Building will serve as the new
home for the College of Engineering, Applied Science and Technology
(EAST). The building will house
classrooms and labs for the departments of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
the School of Computing and Sales. The Selection Committee is interested in
commissioning public artwork that may reflect and compliment the engineering
and science teaching and research mission of the building and those who use it.
Budget: $340,000 - Deadline: April 24, 2020
The Dixie State University Science, Technology & Engineering Building will host classes in Physics, Chemistry, Biology,
Genetics, Geo Sciences, Prototyping, Thermofluids, Mechatronics and Computer
Sciences, to name a few. The science
themed and rich materiality of the building design provides many opportunities
for the integration of an artist’s interpretation into the architecture and
site.
