Worcester, MA has recently allocated funds for the installation of District Identifiers through the municipality and is now accepting proposals from artists and designers for the creation of multiple art panels
for the next phase the Worcester Wayfinding project. The City of Worcester have been working with the Urban Culture Institute to incorporate the arts, place-making, and Worcester’s cultural heritage into public spaces for all around the city.
The Worcester Wayfinding District Identifier project is intended to provide a system of place-making signage across the city, emphasizing district identification and incorporating public art in a way that welcomes
visitors and promotes the city’s rich culture. We are accomplishing this Proposals must be submitted by May 1, with the selected artist to be notified in June, and delivery of the final product(s) due in September, 2020.
The selected artist/designer will be responsible for the design, fabrication, finishing and delivery of the work to the City of Worcester Department of Public Works site located at 1065 Millbury Street, Worcester,
MA 01607.
The City of Worcester has set the following maximum proposal prices:

Up to $20,000 per three-sided sign (for a total of three artwork panels per sign)
·
Up to $25,000 per four-sided sign (for a total of four artwork panels per sign)
