Dear Glenn,
If you’re still looking for examples of public art as outdoor games I recommend the collaborators Ignacio Cadena and Héctor Esrawe, who created two wonderful projects:
Los Trompos
https://esrawe.com/2018esrawe/en/installations/los-trompos/
La Musidora
https://esrawe.com/2018esrawe/en/installations/musidora-2/
And, artist Jenn Lewin, who is always making work that encourages bodies in motion to result in music and light activities.
Both encourage kids and adults to play, activating public spaces in really effective and fun ways.
My best,
Colleen Fanning

Subject: Public Art as Outdoor Games
PAN,
Seeking examples of artist invented outdoor games like the invention of frisbee golf in the 70s or artist-made skill improvement things like unique hoops to throw a football
or kick a soccer ball.
Don't forget installations at festivals. And the projects could be 50 years old and long disappeared.
Thanks
Glenn Weiss
