Hello Karl,

I haven’t heard of anything like this before and it sounds quite restrictive. Does that mean municipal public art projects or does it just apply to state projects?

Subject: Idaho State Public Art Expenditures Resolution

EXTERNAL EMAIL

Good Afternoon Public Art Colleagues,

This morning, the Idaho State Legislature introduced the attached resolution requiring a 2/3 majority public approval vote on any public art project using tax dollars with a budget over $10,000. I am curious if anyone here has dealt with proposed legislation of this nature. Any resources, talking points, past examples, and/or additional information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
