Good god, no.  That is insane. Sounds like a ruse to kill public art without actually outlawing it.

Subject: Idaho State Public Art Expenditures Resolution

This message is from outside the City email system. Do not open links or attachments from untrusted sources.

Good Afternoon Public Art Colleagues,

This morning, the Idaho State Legislature introduced the attached resolution requiring a 2/3 majority public approval vote on any public art project using tax dollars with a budget over $10,000. I am curious if anyone here has dealt with proposed legislation of this nature. Any resources, talking points, past examples, and/or additional information is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
