A Week of Black Culture

Negro Election Day Exhibition Call for Artists

Salem United is seeking local artist and authors of color to showcase their original works in a special exhibition at Old Town Hall!!

 

Salem United, Inc. will host A Week of Black Culture, featuring the Negro Election Day exhibition from Tuesday, July 12 through Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square Salem, MA. The exhibition will include original works of art by local Black artists, books by Black Authors, as well as a showcase of Black/African American contributions in the Arts and History.  The weeklong event will culminate at the Salem Willows with a flag raising and the signing of the Black National Anthem on Friday, July 15 at 12noon and the annual Negro Election Day Weekend Celebration on Saturday, July 16 from 9am-7pm.  The exhibition and the event are free and open to all, so save the date and join the celebration!
