This is a shelter we did in 2011. It probably would have survived well, but it has been hit by a tornado and a car. With repairs it still is great. One key to the success is that it hold the standard glass that a regular shelter holds, which makes maintaining the glass easier.

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Bus shelters
Hi PAN folks,
We're revisiting bus shelter public art projects. Can you share any experiences with projects you've loved, and how they've held up (or disappointed) over the years? We're particularly interested in durability, longevity, and maintenance.
Thanks!
Molly
