Greeting AFTA PAN!

We are looking for artists who are local to, or have connections to Daly City and the Excelsior, Sunnydale/Vis Valley,  McLaren Park, and Bayview/Hunters Point neighborhoods of San Francisco! We would like to showcase existing or new work that speaks to the theme of “What is Family?”   What does family look like in your neighborhood?  What makes it unique, and what makes it universal?  We are open to all types of interpretation!

MidPen Housing in collaboration with Civic Design Studio are looking to incorporate the work of local artists (and those with connections to the area) in our new affordable housing developments at Midway Village, currently under construction until November 2023.  The work will be integrated into permanent large-scale printed designs that will be featured on every floor of the new building.

We will pay each artist $1,500 to license existing work, or to produce new work.  Artwork will then be “remixed” by Civic Design Studio into formats that fit the new building, and displayed in lobbies, elevator entrances, and community rooms.
