1. AI is a tool, and like any tool, the results depend on the skill of the artist wielding it. From that perspective, I would not think to outlaw digital works done using ProCreate or PhotoShop, or a stone sculpture that used an air-powered chisel.
2. AI has been "trained" on works of other artists, often without their consent, and in the wrong hands and with nefarious prompts can end up damaging the reputation and market for artists whose works "inspired" the AI. This is extremely problematic; however, outlawing the use of AI is not the approach to solving that problem. The approach is tighter rules on the people creating the AI software, and more public education about artists, copyrights, and originality (which is absolutely possible with AI).
3. It will take time for artists to figure out how to "collaborate" with AI and have the results reflect the artists' creative work, not the AI's algorithms. I think we as curators need to be part of that transformation and adding our expertise.
