Shiftworks Community + Public Art's online training series Winter Intensive: Performance + Public Space continues this Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 4:00 - 5:30 PM ET. This session will be with the multidisciplinary performance entity, slowdanger.

Session Description
Meet taylor knight and anna thompson, co-founding artistic directors of slowdanger, a dynamic multidisciplinary performance entity based in Pittsburgh. Since 2013, they’ve seamlessly merged movement, technology, electronic instrumentation, and vocalization to craft profound performance experiences. slowdanger has been featured in Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” (2018) and shown at venues such as MoMA and The Kennedy Center.

Join their Winter Intensive session to learn about their process-based practice and the significance of performers activating public spaces. taylor and anna will share their tips and best practices for hosting and integrating performance artists, drawing from their wealth of collaborative expertise.
