I’d definitely be interested in following this. We just had a panel on AI, IT and the creative process as part of our Texas Ats Advocacy Summit, with lots of helpful info & perspective.

I’d be curious to know how we set some guidelines for using AI as an effective tool, to augment, rather than undermine the creative process. We are also looking at digital provenance tools, as a means of ensuring artists or art organizations get paid when generative AI uses their material to learn from.

Please count me in for the call!

Warmly,

Fiona

Subject: Re: AI Policy

Hi Kerry,

I don’t have an AI policy to share, but this is at the core of a lot of work I’m currently doing with clients and if people are interested, I would be happy to do a Zoom call with anyone wanting to learn more about AI and impacts on the arts.  This is definitely a tricky area especially with the overturning of Chevron and something to be aware of as you develop internal and external policies, negotiate contracts, and support artists’ practices.  Let me know if there’s any interest and I’ll set something up.

Best,

Sarah

Subject: AI Policy

Hi Folks,

I am working on policy for AI in grant applications as well as public art projects and our potable works collection.  While at the Commission I plan on following the Federal Copyright Office’s policy recommendations. However has anyone else started formulating policy that you can share.  I already have (some) research by artist and AI advocates/detractors.

Thanks,
