Amanda,
Many cities now have drones. They come in handy to “see" tall artworks, sculptures, murals - anything that needs eye level inspection.

It’s also convenient to have use of a truck that can easily be parked in medians instead of parking and walking a distance to access the art sites.

Safety cones - there are ones that expand, are not heavy for one person to manage and are easily stored.

Hi All,

I'm working to create a public art PM  "kit" for myself and one other staff member & could use some input of what it it should include. When int he field we will mostly be assessing the condition of existing pieces and making cleaning/conservation recommendations, as well as coordinating on the site preparation and installation of new works. I'm thinking the following:
  • laptops with cell card
  • phones w/ cameras
  • clip boards
  • pens/pencils
  • tape measures
  • hard hats/vests/eye protection for construction site visits
The list isn't very long. What else do you keep handy as a person who manages projects but outsources most of the physical work?

Thanks!
