As we begin to prep for the new year and our 2018 Arts Advocacy Day (March 12-13^th – Save the Date!) we are looking to gather impact stories and data on how the change in funding for arts-in-transit programs under the FAST Act. We would like to know how this change is or will affect your program, projects and community. Both data and narratives are appreciated. Here are some questions to consider when assessing and responding:

 

• How is your program affected? As your operational budget been affected? Have your staffing levels changed?
• How are your projects affected? Are their public art projects that are now ended? Are their transit projects in motion that will not have an arts component or limited arts components due to the new legislation?
• How are your communities affected? Are there communities who will no longer have the same or equal access to public art as previous locations? Have you heard concerns or interest from your communities about the potential or complete lack of public art in their transit system?

 

If you would like to share, please respond by Friday, November 3rd.
