Deirdre,

Hello, Trees! A Walking Serenade is on view at Discovery Green in downtown Houston now until 2.25.18. Commissioned by the Discovery Green Conservancy, it was created by Daily tous les jours, a Montreal art collective, who based the piece on the concept of communication among trees that creates a social network. It is comprised of a series of arches installed under an allée, of live oak trees. Visitors speak to an input station, and as they continue down the promenade, see their voice transform into light pulses, and evolve through electronic distortion to become music.

Thanks for asking this question! We are always looking for work that celebrates trees.

Susanne
