In Albuquerque we waive all for city projects on city property/ROW except for the excavation and foundation work which requires inspection .The fee is a percentage of the project budget but we have successfully established that it's based only on the costs associated with the excavation and foundation work, not the entire commission budget.

Hi Everyone,

I am wondering how other municipalities handle permitting fees related to public art.  Are permitting fees waived?  If not, how are the permit fees calculated?  Or, is there a minimum fee in place to handle to actual costs related to document review and on-site inspections?

Thank you.
