Hi PAN Listserv,

Arts Advocacy Day is coming up this March 12th – 13th and hope you can join us in Washington, DC! This year will have a session dedicated to educating attendees about the impact of the elimination of the federal funding to arts in transit projects through the FAST Act. During the event an updated Issue Brief will be distributed that includes information on a proposed piece of legislation to remove the barriers to funding for transit art projects. See the attached two documents for background information on the provisions in the FAST Act that eliminate funding to the arts.

Please join us in DC next month to gather support from Capitol Hill on this initiative. The deadline to register online is Wednesday, February 21st: https://www.americansforthearts.org/events/arts-advocacy-day/register.

In addition, during lunch on the 12th there will be a showing of the A Monument to Maggie documentary followed by a moderated panel with artist Toby Mendez and producer/director Daniela Perez Frias.

The Issue Brief will be publicly available once it is published.

I hope to see you next month!

Best,

Patricia
