Hi PAN Listerv,
AFTA just posted the
2018 Arts Advocacy Day Issue Briefs to provide the information needed for our attendees to promote important issues impacting the arts field to their Congress members during Hill Day. Specifically, there is one on the recently released Saving Transit Art
Resources (STAR) Act developed in response to loss of federal support for arts in transit projects. The full STAR Act Issue Brief can be found here
https://www.americansforthearts.org/sites/default/files/15.%20Arts%20%26%20Infrastructure.pdf. There will also be a panel discussion during the training day on March 12th to discuss the Issue Brief and STAR Act as well.
Please join us for the
2018 Arts Advocacy Day on March 12th and 13th in Washington, DC or reach out to a State Captain who will be setting up the schedule of congressional appointments
for March 13, 2018 and leading your state's delegation.
Please feel free to forward this message and help us gain support for this great cause!
I hope to see you next month!
Best,
Patricia
