Artists or artist teams who are residents of North Carolina are invited to submit qualifications to design and install mural or ground plane art for the next iteration of the Neighborhood Park Mural Project at the following City of Durham parks:

1) Garrett Road Park

2) Sherwood Park

3) Solite Park

4) Whippoorwill Park

These four locations are an extension of the Neighborhood Park Mural Project pilot initiative launched in the spring 2017 at Southern Boundaries Park. At that location, Durham artists Julia Gartrell and Julienne Alexander created a mural on the exterior walls of the park's newly renovated bathroom facility. Public art at these new locations should promote activity, creativity, playfulness, and relevance to the specific park location.
