Salt Lake County Announces Two Public Art Opportunities

Letter of interest and qualifications are requested from artists both local (Utah) and national who are interested in participating in an open competition for the following work(s) of public art for the new Salt Lake County Mid-Valley Performing Art Center located at 2600 West Taylorsville Boulevard, Taylorsville, Utah.

·         #CFA47533 – Exterior

Up to $200,000.00 has been designated for exterior public art works

·         #CFA47531 – Interior

Up to $80,000.00 has been designated for interior hanging public art works

Located in the central part of the Salt Lake Valley and 9 miles from Salt Lake City, this nearly 80,000 square foot facility, slated to open in the late summer of 2020 offers new opportunities for arts groups in Taylorsville and surrounding cities. The venue includes: a 400-seat proscenium theater; a 250-seat multi-form studio theater; and rehearsal and event spaces.
