Our city partnered with a local art organization to create a mural on a trail underpass which used to be the site of a bridge where a local man was lynched in 1923. The design was created by an artist based on local input from many groups
and was completed through community painting sessions. Previously, the lynching site was not marked, now the mural joins a historical marker, both of which are on a very popular nature trail near our downtown.
