Hi, and thanks for the question. Because we utilize our roster for artist selection, that first site visit occurs after the artist has been selected and is already
under contract. We do occasionally interview a short list of artists, but in those situations we will write separate professional services contracts and reimburse for all travel costs.

Thanks Mike! One quick question- if an out of state artist gets chosen for a proposal round, are their travel costs covered for the site visits? We have some artists that a great fit for this,
but they probably would not be able to pay their own way for a proposal round/site visit.

Online applications and guidelines are now available for our 2018 Public Artist Roster Call. Open to professional artists in the U.S. and British Columbia, this call establishes a list of pre-qualified artists for projects at K-12 schools, colleges, universities, and state agencies throughout Washington State. Rostered artists serve 3-year terms; our next call is scheduled for 2021.
