Hi Charles,
We’re looking for examples of a uniform method for the calculation and something that validates the cost presented (typically by the developer through their GC or PM). The affidavit is the legal document confirming
that what is presented is truthful to the best of their knowledge. However, I’ve been asked to explore how other municipalities approach this and how they provide justification of what a developer/GC/PM presents.

Subject: Re: Construction Cost Calculation
Why isn’t the Construction Cost estimate done by the GC, government PM or a professional cost estimator?

Good morning!
Looking for the various ways public art administrators calculate and confirm private (and public) development construction costs for calculation of the percent for art. Currently, we use a Project Value Application and Affidavit prior to issuing of the building permit.
Thanks!
