Clark County Nevada very recently partnered with the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art to commission Andrew Schoultz to paint a mural in the bowl of a skate park.

I would recommend contacting Mickey Sprott with Clark County’s Public Art program – she may be able to point you in the right direction regarding materials;

I helped with the Portland Parks Skateboard Masterplan in the early 2000s. At that time skateboarders said they don’t usually want their skating surface painted as it makes it slick.

Subject: Painted Mural in a Skate Park
Hi:
Has anyone ever done a project where a mural was painted on the bowl of a skate park? If so, how did it work out and do you have a suggestion for materials? I would appreciate any input.
Thanks,
Deborah
